Ford-Mondeo vehicles are equipped with a fuel cut-off switch in the event of an accident, such as a collision, a rollover. In such cases, the circuit breaker trips and the fuel supply is interrupted, so that fuel does not leak out and ignite in an accident.

The circuit breaker is located on the lower left in front of the driver's door. When the switch is activated, its button pops up.

To resume the supply of fuel to the engine, press the switch button. But this must be preceded by the following procedure. First turn the ignition key to position O. Then check the engine power system for fuel leaks. If everything is fine, you can press the switch button. After that, turn the ignition key to position II, wait a few seconds and return the key to position I. It is recommended to check the engine power system again for fuel leaks.

Warning: To prevent fire or personal injury, do not turn on the safety switch if you smell gasoline in the cabin or under the hood.
