Every 16,000 km or 12 months.
1. Raise and install the car on supports or a viewing hole. Carefully inspect the underbody and wheel wells for damage and corrosion. Pay special attention to the lower part of the thresholds, as well as closed areas where dirt can collect.
2. If you find corrosion or rust on any of the panels, gently press the area with the tip of a screwdriver. If the rust has hit the metal all the way through, the screwdriver will pierce the rust. This means that the panel needs serious repair or replacement.
3. If panel corrosion is minor, clean off any rust and apply a new coat of rust protection. Details of body repair - see chapter 11.
4. At the same time, inspect the underbody panels covered with a protective layer for stone damage, and also check their general condition.
5. Inspect all underbody fuel and brake lines for damage, rust, corrosion, and leaks. Make sure. that they are securely fixed with clips. Verify that there is no damage to the protective PVC coating of the piping (where needed).
