Preparation
Place chocks under the wheel on the other side of the vehicle, diagonally across from the one being replaced.
Engage first or reverse gear.
On models with automatic transmission, set the selector to the position "Park".
Make sure. the vehicle is parked on a firm, level surface.
Wheel replacement procedure
1. To change a wheel, remove the spare wheel and jack
2. Turn out a clamp and take out a wheel.
3. Turn out a clamp and take out a jack and a wheel key from a niche. The niche also has a screw-in eye for towing.
4. Use the flat end of the wheel wrench to carefully remove the cap. Then loosen the wheel nuts (see fig.).
5. Place the head of the jack in the place intended for lifting the car, closest to the wheel to be changed so. so that the slot in the head coincides with the flanging of the body (see fig.). Then turn the jack handle to raise the vehicle.
6. When the wheel is off the ground, unscrew the nuts and remove it.
7. Install the spare wheel and lightly tighten the nuts. Lower the vehicle to the ground, fully tighten the nuts and install the cap.
In conclusion
Remove the blocks from under the wheels.
Store the jack and tools in a place in the trunk.
Check the pressure in a newly installed tire. If the pressure is low, or if you do not have a pressure gauge with you, drive slowly to the nearest garage or repair shop and restore the correct pressure to the tire.
At the earliest opportunity, tighten the wheel nuts to the torque specified in the Technical Data.
Repair the damaged tire as soon as possible.
