Increased fuel consumption
- Uneconomical driving style or unfavorable conditions.
- Clogged air filter element (Chapter 1).
- Malfunction of the engine management system (Chapters 1, 4, 5, 6).
- Incorrect ignition timing (Chapter 5 and 6).
- Insufficient tire pressure (Chapter 1).
Fuel leak and/or fuel smell
- Damage or corrosion of the fuel tank, pipes or connections (Chapter 1).
- Leaks from the carbon adsorber and/or connecting pipes (Chapter 6).
Excessive noise or soot from the exhaust system
- Leak in exhaust system or manifold connections (Chapters 1, 2A, 4).
- Leakage through a rusted or damaged muffler or pipes (Chapter 1).
- Contact of the exhaust pipe with the underbody or suspension due to damage to the exhaust system mount (Chapters 1 and 4).
