1. In the event of a malfunction, first of all check the level of the working fluid (Chapter 1). If fluid leaks are found, check cuffs (chapter 7). Also check for leaks in the hoses going to the fluid cooler. In addition to these checks, the owner of the car can easily check the adjustment of the selector cable (paragraph 3) and checking the installation of the selector lever sensor (paragraph 6).
2. If the malfunction persists, it is necessary to determine which part of the transmission it belongs to: mechanical, hydraulic or electrical. Due to the complexity of the automatic transmissions, their repair must be carried out at a dealer who has the necessary special equipment for diagnosis and repair.
3. Do not remove transmission for repair. until qualified troubleshooting is performed, as most checks are performed on the transmission installed in the vehicle.
