Removal and installation of an axis and plugs of deenergizing of coupling

Note: Information applies to cable operated clutch only.

Withdrawal

1. Remove release bearing (paragraph 8).

2. Remove the clamp bolt that secures the release lever to the axle. Mark the position of the axle relative to the lever. Then remove the suction lever. For proper installation on the axle there is a characteristic pin (see fig. 9.2.a-c).





3. Remove the protective cap from the top of the splined axle to get to the hub.

4. Carefully pry the bushing out of the housing using a pair of screwdrivers or pliers. Then take it off the axle (see fig. 9.4).



5. After removing the bushing, the axle can be removed. Pull it out of the bottom hole by rocking it from side to side (see fig. 9.5).

Installation

6. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Apply a small amount of grease to the bearing surfaces of the transmission and bushings.
