General information about the brake system

Brake system Ford Mondeo includes a parking brake system (hand brake) and a diagonally divided working brake system with dual-circuit hydraulic drive. These systems operate independently of each other. If one system fails, the other system will be able to stop the car.

In this case, a separate brake circuit connects respectively one front wheel and a diagonally arranged rear wheel. If one of the circuits fails, then the other circuit provides the braking process. In this case, the force on the brake pedal and the braking distance increase.
