Winter tires are more reliable on snow or ice than summer tires. They are made from a special rubber compound that grips wet or snowy roads better at low temperatures. A condition for good transmission of braking and traction forces to the road is the presence of a tread pattern with a depth of at least 4 mm - a smaller depth is not allowed, such a tire cannot be used in winter. In any case, all four wheels should be equipped with winter tires - the combination of summer and winter tires is dangerous. In this case, winter tires of narrow sizes are quite suitable. It is better to invest the money saved on wide tires in suitable wheels. Usually after each installation, the wheels should be balanced.
