Checking the oil level in an automatic transmission

The oil level must be checked after driving, when the oil is still hot. To check the oil level, do the following:

- install the car on a flat horizontal platform;

- apply the parking brake and ask an assistant to fully depress the brake pedal;

- when the engine is idling, ask the assistant to change gears at least three times in succession;

- set the gear lever to the position «P» and wait one or two minutes so that the oil can again be evenly distributed;

- remove the oil dipstick (with the engine running), wipe off the oil on the dipstick with a clean cloth and reinsert it into the guide tube;

- remove the dipstick and check if the oil level is between the marks «Min» And «Max». Otherwise, bring the level to normal.

The filling volume of the gearbox, including the oil cooler, is 7.2 liters.
