Wheel Drive Shaft Precautions

Observe the following precautions when working on drive shafts:

- when removing the shafts, do not pull on the constant velocity joints;

- do not create a large angle in the constant velocity joints (never more than 18°);

- do not damage polished surfaces and small splines;

- do not install sharp objects in the immediate vicinity of the corrugated rubber covers;

- do not drop the shafts;

- do not hit the outer side of the constant velocity joints in order to engage the shaft.
