To remove the drive shaft on the left side, you must:
- Perform the same operations as for the right drive shaft, up to the removal of the wheel hub flange from the end of the shaft;

- release the shaft from the inside of the gearbox (see fig. 31);

- press out the shaft (see fig. 172) from the gearbox;
- Place a piece of wood under the turning point of the lever so that the pressing point is not damaged by the lever. As soon as the shaft is released, it can be removed from engagement with the steering knuckle.
Installation is carried out similarly to the installation of the drive shaft on the right side of the car, taking into account the following:
- install the snap ring into the groove of the nut shaft;
- slide the shaft into the gearbox so that the retaining ring snaps into place;
- tighten the intermediate bearing nuts to 27 Nm.
