Since these works with all doors are almost identical, we will consider the driver's door as an example here. Mondeo doors are almost as easy to hang as room doors - all you have to do is separate the hinges. When removing the door, be careful and careful not to damage its paintwork. After emergency repairs or the installation of used spare parts, it is simply necessary to adjust the size of the door gap for oversized hinge holes. Finally adjust the gaps around the entire perimeter of the doorway vertically and horizontally, the axial gap is adjusted by means of a spacer washer.



All door hinges consist of two parts and are generally screwed to the door and A-pillar and B-pillar with four screws. Both halves of the loop are connected by a separate bolt. The screw holes in the halves are oversized so that you can adjust the door gaps conveniently and easily.

PROCEDURE

Disconnect the battery. Then screw out «gripping door strip» from the A-pillar and B-pillar and… ... in the front door shaft, disconnect the multi-pin connector for the speaker, the central locking system and the power window. To do this, turn the thumbscrew of the connector all the way to the left and then separate the halves from each other. Next, remove the safety ring from both hinge bolts. Before unscrewing the hinge bolts from the hinges, ask an assistant to hold the door. First remove the upper and only then the lower hinge bolts. If the bolts are tight, ask an assistant to forcefully raise and lower the door - if he does this correctly, he will thereby remove «voltage» from bolts. Pull the door out of its hinges and place it firmly on a proper base. Lightly lubricate the hinge bolts and gripping band before installation. Then… Consists of two parts and is screwed on: Door hinge. 1 - Adjusting holes, 2 - Hinge bolts. … «concatenate» both halves of the hinge and have an assistant insert the hinge bolts. Before inserting safety rings into the ring grooves, pay attention to their pre-tension: weak rings may someday fall out of the groove, and the hinge bolts may, in turn, «go on a trip», and as a result: the door falls out «towards them». Carry out installation in reverse order. Make sure that the color coding (white stroke) knurled screw must be matched with the color coding (white dot) mating part. Tighten as far as it will go
