Removing the door handle

The procedure for dismantling the handles of the rear and front doors differ slightly. Therefore, the dismantling of the front door handle is described below as an example.

PROCEDURE

Disconnect the battery and.. ... then dismantle the door trim as described above. Carefully remove the sealing film from the rear area of the door and secure it with adhesive tape to the inside of the door. Unscrew the screw in the door directly on the lock cylinder, as well as the screw on the front hinge of the handle and.. ... unscrew the rear torx screw on the outside of the door rebate. Before unscrewing the torx screw, carefully remove the plug with a small slotted screwdriver. Carefully remove the handle from the outer door trim. Install the handle in reverse order.
