Before dismantling the GTZ, make sure that there is no reduced pressure in the brake booster. To do this, disconnect either the low pressure line from the booster, or «pump» brake pedal with the engine stopped until the force on the pedal becomes «conspicuous».
PROCEDURE
Dismantle the low pressure pipeline from the brake booster and...
...disconnect the main connector from the expansion tank cover.
Unscrew the cap from the tank and place it upside down on a clean base.
Suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank with a pipette or syringe.
Models with manual transmission
Disconnect the connecting hose from the clutch sensor cylinder and close the hole to prevent dirt from entering it.
All models
Dismantle both pipelines (indicated by arrows) from the main brake cylinder and close their ends.
Dismantling of both pipelines from the main brake cylinder and closing the ends with plugs.
Now dismantle the master brake cylinder together with the brake fluid reservoir (places are indicated by arrows) from the brake booster.
Dismantling the master brake cylinder with compensation tank.
Mount the new GTZ with new vacuum gaskets. Lightly lubricate the gasket with Vaseline and clean the surfaces adjacent to the amplifier. Otherwise, outside air can enter the amplifier from these places and, as a result, its amplification effect will be reduced or absent altogether. In vehicles with EVA, check the correct choice of GTZ design - standard cylinders are not suitable here.
Carry out further installation in reverse order and then bleed the brake system as described above.
