Dismantling and installation of the brake booster

            0

Before dismantling the GTZ, make sure that there is no reduced pressure in the brake booster. To do this, disconnect either the low pressure line from the booster, or «pump» brake pedal with the engine stopped until the force on the pedal becomes «conspicuous».

PROCEDURE
  1. Remove the brake master cylinder as described above. The compensation tank with brake fluid remains installed on it.
  2. Remove the shock absorber bearing cap and...
  3. ... remove the bearing from the reinforcement holder.
  4. Unscrew the reinforcement holder from the fairing and side wall.
  5. Unscrew the nut (arrow) on the working rod of the brake booster.

Unscrewing the nut on the working rod of the brake booster.
  6. unscrew amplifier (four nuts are indicated by arrows) and pull it out of the engine compartment.

Unscrew the nuts indicated by the arrows.
  7. Complete installation in reverse order. Check the new amplifier beforehand: the standard amplifier is not installed in the models with EVA!

PRACTICAL ADVICE

So «stops» brake fluid

If you remove the brake pipe (brake hose), the brake fluid slowly drains from the expansion tank. If not, then before work, release the purge plug of the corresponding brake circuit and put on a hose to remove air. Insert the free end of the hose into a clean container and fully depress the brake pedal. Then fix the position of the brake pedal to the base of the body with a piece of wood or a suitable weight. Now close the intake holes in the GTZ - the brake fluid can no longer be removed.
