PROCEDURE |
- Discs with a slightly bluish tinge are completely normal.
- Notice the deep scratches on the discs. They indicate foreign objects caught in the linings, rough road dirt, hardened or worn linings. In the presence of «milling marks» up to three millimeters deep, you can still not worry. However, in any case, release the pads and remove foreign objects that have already been crushed.
- The best way to measure disc thickness is with a caliper and two euro coins. Place one coin on both sides of the disc between the caliper and the disc. Naturally, the thickness of these two coins should be subtracted from the obtained value.
- «skinned» to the minimum possible thickness, the discs should be scrapped. Scratched discs can, however, be sanded. When doing this, always replace and process discs in pairs.
Reading and subtracting: to obtain the correct value, it is necessary to subtract the thickness of both coins after measurement. |
