- Remove the wheel hub nut and wheel bolts.
- On level ground, securely place the car on the goats, dismantle the front wheel.
- Remove the ABS wheel sensor from the suspension strut holder (indicated by an arrow).

- Remove the brake caliper as described above and secure with a wire in the wheel housing. Do not break the brake hose while doing this.
- Unscrew the safety screws of the brake disc and pull the disc out of the wheel housing. Loosen firmly seated discs with precise hammer blows (plastic hammer). Another option is to use a puller.

- Remove the lower engine cover.
All models
- Remove the front guard on the sub frame (shown by arrows).

- Dismantle, as described above, the transverse suspension arm from the pivot bearing.
- Unscrew the clamping screw of the suspension strut.
- Using a three-arm puller, as described above, press the drive shaft out of the wheel hub and support the shaft.
- Remove the swivel support.
- Carry out the installation, depending on the vehicle model, in reverse order.
- To do this, install the swivel support on the suspension strut and align it.
- Immediately press the pivot bearing onto the pivot shaft as soon as the first threads are free and prefer the shaft with the new axle nut.
- Press the ball joint into the swivel bearing as far as it will go from below.
- Check the free play of all brake components and connect the ABS sensor.
- Put the car on the wheels, press the brake pedal and tighten the wheel hub nut to 290 Nm. Don't forget the wheel bolts.
