As a general rule, vehicles with an automatic transmission should not be towed - the torque converter prevents a power-short connection between the transmission and the engine. However, for variants without automatic transmission, do not distribute «cable bundle» over a hundred meters: if the engine does not start immediately, this may mean that the catalytic converter is seriously damaged. Its cells can become clogged with unburned remnants of a fresh fuel mixture, which are forced down into the exhaust system. And if you must «woo», then always trust this only to an experienced «to the towing vehicle». Consider also that the braking distance with the engine stopped becomes longer (brake booster not working).

PROCEDURE |
- Turn on the ignition, shift into 2nd gear and depress the clutch.
- «Tractor» now can «soft» start moving.
- At a speed of about 15 km/h, slowly release the clutch. At the same time, be constantly ready to start braking (hand on parking brake).
- Once the engine is running, depress the clutch, remove gear and give full throttle.
- Give your towing vehicle a horn and gently brake your «cart».
