Starting the engine «from the side» with a wire

To make starting easier, use only the special electronic wire, thus you will protect the electronic components of your Mondeo from the dangerous effects of voltage peaks.

PROCEDURE
  1. Put «foreign starter» as close as possible to «discharged battery». The wire connecting the starter and the auxiliary battery must «free» placed between the batteries.
  2. Turn off at «emergency» car of all consumers.
  3. In the first step, connect the positive poles of the batteries with the red auxiliary wire. Connect first to the discharged battery and then to the charged battery.
  4. Then, with a black auxiliary wire, connect the negative poles of both batteries. If the length of the wires is not enough, then use «dense» ground connection in the engine compartment.
  5. Start the engine at «assistant car» and set to medium speed. This is quite enough for the generator to produce enough current.
  6. Now start the engine in the car with the dead battery. If the engine does not immediately start, then always take a short pause between attempts - otherwise the starter may heat up. During pauses, current is already flowing from a charged to a discharged battery. Engine run time «foreign starter» does not spare his own battery.
  7. Once the engine has started, disconnect the connections: first, with the engine running, disconnect the black wire from the negative poles «discharged» and then a charged battery. Then do the same with the red wire.
  8. Load the now necessarily discharged battery with a test drive of about 30 km at a slightly increased engine speed.
