Clogged washer nozzles should be dismantled immediately and blown out with compressed air in the direction of the hose connection. Carefully push stubborn dirt with a thin wire – also in the direction of the hose connection. If this fails, replace the nozzle and, if necessary, immediately insert a conventional fuel filter into the water supply line. The fine porous filter in the future will allow the nozzles to remain clean for a long time.
PROCEDURE |
- Open the engine hood and remove the insulating material (press the clamps with a screwdriver).
- before removing the washer water hose from the nozzle, warm it up a little with a lighter.
- Squeeze the fixing tabs with your fingers, while simultaneously pressing the nozzle away from the hood (if necessary, remove the nozzle with a screwdriver – while protecting the paintwork with a backing pad!). Disconnect the connecting wire from the heated nozzle.
- When mounted outside «fix» nozzle in the hood. Make sure that the nozzle sits firmly, otherwise there will be problems with its installation.
- Connect the water hose and electric wire, adjust the position of the nozzle as described above.
- Attach the insulating material.
