A. The red control lamp does not light up when the ignition is on. |
- The battery is empty.
- An open in the battery wire, wire contacts are loose or oxidized.
- Control lamp defect.
- Break in the wire between the lock - the ignition switch, the control light and the generator.
- Defective voltage regulator.
- Damaged generator.
- Moisture has formed an insulating lubricating film between slip rings and carbon brushes (e.g. after washing the engine) generator.

- Use an auxiliary wire or have the vehicle towed.
- Check battery wires and clamps.
- Replace.
- Check the current flow with a test lamp.
- Replace regulator.
- Repair generator or replace.
- Blow out the generator with compressed air, clean the slip rings and brushes if necessary.

B. Charge control lights up or glows when the engine is running. |
- Loose or broken V-belt.
- Insufficient contact of the wire connections of the generator or a break in the wire.

- Check the tension of the V-belt, replace the belt if necessary.
- Check wires and wire connections.

Q. The surface of the battery is wet. |
- The battery cells are full of distilled water.
- Dirty battery locks.

- Release gases, do not suck electrolyte.
- Clean the vent holes with a pin.

D. The battery emits a lot of gases. |
Defective voltage regulator. |
Check regulator, replace if necessary. |
