Clutch malfunctions

            0

Cause
elimination
A. The clutch is slipping.
  1. The control automatics is defective; initial pressure in the system (1 bar) too high (primary pressure valve stuck).
  2. Clutch gaskets worn out.
  3. The clamping force is low.
  4. Clutch gasket is oily.
  5. The clutch was overheated.
  1. If necessary, replace the clutch master cylinder with the clutch release bearing, change the initial pressure valve.
  2. Replace driven disk.
  3. Replace clutch pressure plate. Replace the driven disk immediately with it.
  4. The radial shaft seal on the crankshaft or transmission input shaft is leaking. Replace worn ring.
  5. Check the engine flywheel, grind if necessary, completely replace the clutch.
B. Clutch does not separate.
  1. See A1.
  2. Clutch slave or master cylinder defective.
  3. Air in the hydraulic system.
  4. The driven disk is clamped on the gearbox shaft.
  5. Driven disk broken.
  6. The driven disk is skewed or the gasket is torn off.
  7. The gasket after a long standing rusted to the flywheel.
  1. Replace defective cylinders.
  2. Add liquid; vent the clutch.
  3. Thoroughly clean and lightly lubricate the spline.
  4. Replace driven disk.
  5. Move off as described in section «Driving without clutch engagement». Keep the clutch pedal depressed at all times. Press the accelerator pedal hard and then release to break the clutch.
  6. Replace defective parts.
B. Clutch does not separate and slips at the same time.
The automatic clutch drive is defective. Replace.
G. Clutch jerking.
  1. See A3.
  2. The engine or transmission suspension is loose or defective.
  3. hard zones (roughness on the flywheel or pressure plate).
  4. Wrong pads (degree of hardness). The vibration damper is worn out.
  1. Fix or replace the engine or transmission mount.
  2. The flywheel must be replaced later, the pressure plate must be replaced immediately.
  3. Replace driven disk.
D. Clutch noise.
  1. Clutch pressure plate or driven disc imbalance.
  2. Vibration damper spring worn.
  3. The clutch release bearing is defective.
  4. The connecting elements in the automatic clutch drive are worn out (broken).
  1. Replace defective parts.
  2. Replace driven disk.
  3. Replace the central cam with integrated clutch release bearing.
  4. Replace automatic clutch drive.
