Cause/Impacts |
| A. The operating temperature of the engine is reached slowly, the heating effect is insufficient. | The thermostat is clamped - the flow to the radiator is constantly open. The engine heats up incorrectly. Short-term damage is not possible: however, clean or replace the thermostat immediately. |
| B. The temperature signal lamp lights up permanently. Coolant level OK - Radiator or upper radiator hose remains cold. | Thermostat stuck. In no case do not move further, otherwise serious engine defects from overheating will appear. Replace thermostat. |
