Dismantling and installation of the radiator (Power unit / Cooling system / Ford Mondeo 3 2000-2007)

PROCEDURE

Jack up the car beforehand (goats). Disconnect the battery cable to ground (terminal 31), drain the coolant into a collection container.
Remove the electric fan as described above.
Remove the radiator hoses.

Mondeo with 2.5 liter engine and diesel engine
Lower the front of the vehicle and remove the upper radiator hose.
Dismantle the hose on the expansion tank with coolant and...
...raise the front of the vehicle.

Mondeo with 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre engine
Remove the hose from the coolant expansion tank.

Mondeo with 2.0 liter diesel engine
Remove the coolant hose from the oil cooler...

... release and dismantle the spring clip from the auxiliary frame.

All models
Now support the AC capacitor, unscrew the mounting screws, dismantle the electric fan together with the casing and pull the radiator out of the holders.
Remove the rubber radiator support.

Dismantling the rubber radiator support.
Install in reverse order, add fluid and warm up the engine. Adjust the coolant level in the expansion tank to the upper mark.
Carry out a test drive and after it check all connections for leaks, add the missing coolant to the top mark.
