- Check the fan fuse first.
- If it's OK, disconnect the multi-pin connector from the thermal switch and...
- ... bridge the current-carrying contact in the engine compartment with the ground contact in the connector. Thus, the thermal switch is removed from the electrical circuit. Turn on the fan switch, there the thermal switch is considered defective. If it does not work, then either a break in the wiring, or a defect in the fan itself.
- Clamp the wire jumper well before final repair. And so that the pinched wire cannot get under the fan blades, fix its end with adhesive tape in a suitable place.
