- Are all radiator, engine or heater fan water hoses sealed? Leaks can be easily identified by white deposits around leaks.
- Replace stiff, brittle or cracked hoses immediately. Check their technical condition by visual inspection or, best of all, by massaging the hoses.
Pressing down: Apply sufficient pressure to the heated coolant hose. This is the only way to identify possible cracks or other defects. |
- What do we have at the ends of the hoses? – do they sit tightly on their nozzles?
- Are all hose clamps tight? If not, while driving and with a hot engine, they can break off the connecting pipes. It is best to replace corroded hose clamps immediately.
