Fuel filter replacement (petrol engine)

PROCEDURE

Start the engine and let it run until the gasoline in the unit is completely used up.
To be sure that there is actually no pressure, you can crank the engine for about five more seconds with the starter.
Disconnect the wires from the battery.
Securely jack up the back of the Mondeo.
Install under the fuel filter (near the right rear wheel, on the right next to the tank) receiving container and...
...dismantle the hose connections (indicated by an arrow) combustible mixture preparation systems.

... carefully disconnect the supply line from the fuel filter. Then remove the old filter from the holder. Empty the case into a receptacle and dispose of «dry» filter as special waste.

1 - Unscrew the screw,
2 - Remove the fuel filter.
When installing a new filter, consider the direction of fuel flow (arrow on the body).
Complete the work in reverse order, connect the wires to the battery and turn on to pressurize the system, ignition for about 30 seconds. Then check again all hose connections for tightness.
