Internal joints are filled at the factory with 125 g of special grease. A new filling of the outer joints is 100 g, when replacing the seal, 60 g of MoS2 grease is sufficient. Ford uses the SM-1C75-A or SQN-1C9004-A specifications.
When checking the protective sleeves of the drive shafts, it is also necessary to check the firm fit of the outer 1 and clamping collars 2. Using the side cutter, the tape clamps of the hole tape are tightened (indicated by an arrow). To do this, a protrusion in the form of a flattened «ABOUT» bend towards the clamping band and with the side cutter, clamp firmly so as not to crush the cuff.
