Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner

In the arches of the front and rear wheels, plastic fenders are installed that protect the body from the abrasive effects of sand and stones thrown by the wheels. Mudguards mounted behind the front wheels protect the body sills. Rear mudguards protect following vehicles from being damaged by stones flying out from under the rear wheels.

You will need: TORX T20 keys, "10".

NOTE: Operation is shown for mud flaps and fender liner on the left side of the vehicle. The right mud flaps and wheel arch liners are removed and installed in the same way.


Before removing the mudguards and fender liner, first remove the corresponding wheel.

To remove the front wheel mudguard, follow these steps.



1. Remove the four screws securing the mudguard to the front wheel arch and front fender.



NOTE: This is how the front mudguard mounting screws are located.





2. Remove the mudguard.

3. Install the front wheel mudguard in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the front fender liner, perform the following steps.

1. Remove the front wheel mudguard (see above in this subsection).



2. Turn away a plastic nut of a back lower fastening of a fender liner…



3….and remove it.




4. Turn away other three nuts and one screw of fastening of a fender liner to an arch of a forward wheel.



5. Remove the front fender liner.

6. Install the front fender liner in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the rear wheel mudguard, perform the following operations.



1. Turn out two screws of fastening of a back mudguard to an arch of a wheel.




2. Unclench the latch of the lower holder of the mudguard and fender liner..



3….and slide it outward. Slide the upper mudguard holder in the same way.



4. Remove the mudguard.

5. Install the rear wheel mudguard in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the rear fender liner, perform the following steps.


1. Remove the rear wheel mudguard (see above in this subsection).



2. Turn away plastic nuts of the top and lateral fastening of a fender liner.



3. Turn away a nut of the bottom forward fastening of a fender liner and remove it from hairpins.

4. Install the rear fender liner in the reverse order of removal.
