Removal and installation of a forward wing

You will need: a wrench and a "10" socket head, screwdrivers with flat and Phillips blades.

NOTE: The operation is shown on the example of the left wing of the car. The right wing is removed and installed in the same way.

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.



2. Remove mudguard..



3….and front fender liner (see Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner).



4. Remove the noise insulation from the wing cavity.




5. Remove the headlight (see Headlight Replacement).



6. Remove the front bumper (see Removing and installing front bumper).



7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a back edge of a wing to a forward rack of a body.



8. Squeezing out the rear edge of the decorative corner trim of the front pillar..




9.... remove the lining, overcoming the elastic resistance of the two clips of its fastening.



10. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a wing to a forward rack located under a decorative slip.



11. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an arm of a wing to a framework of a motor compartment.




12. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a forward wing to flanging of a threshold of a body.



13. Using a screwdriver, pry off the retainer of the front wing decorative shield and remove the piston.



14. Turn out the clips of the two clips of the decorative shield of the front wing..




15….and remove them.



16. Remove a decorative guard of a forward wing.

NOTE: When replacing the right front fender, additionally remove the hood limit switch mounting screw.

Remove the switch and disconnect the wire from it.



17. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a wing to a mudguard of a motor compartment and remove a forward wing.

18. Install the front fender in the reverse order of removal.
