To remove the wiper trapezium assembly with the gearmotor, do the following.
1. Remove the wiper arms along with the brushes.
2. Remove the lining of the air box (refer to Removing and installing air intake duct trim).
3. Press the retainer of the wiring harness block with a screwdriver..
4.... and disconnect the block from the wiper motor.
5. Loosen the three bolts securing the wiper trapezoid..
NOTE: This is how the windshield wiper trapezoidal bolts are located.
6….remove the bolts…
7.... and remove the trapezoid assembly with the gearmotor from the air intake box.
8. Install the trapezoid assembly with the gearmotor and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the node. When buying a new trapezoid assembly with a gearmotor, purchase a unit with the same marking.
To replace a geared motor, do the following.
1. Remove the trapezoid assembly with the gearmotor (see above in this subsection).
2. Pry off the trapezoid rod in the area of its hinge with a screwdriver..
3.... and disconnect the rod from the crank pin, overcoming the elastic resistance of its retainer.
4. Loosen the crank nut…
5….remove the nut…
6.... and remove the crank from the gearmotor shaft.
7. Turn out three screws of fastening …
8.... and disconnect the gearmotor from the trapezoid.
NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the gearmotor. To replace, purchase a gearmotor with the same marking.
9. Install the wiper motor in the reverse order of removal.
