Replacing the contact group of the ignition switch (lock)

You will need a flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Remove the top and bottom of the steering column cover (see Removing and installing steering column cover).



3. Press the latch..



4.... and disconnect the block of the wiring harness from the contact group of the ignition switch.

NOTE: For clarity, the following operations are shown with the steering column removed.

5. Press the upper and lower latches..

NOTE: The lower latch is not visible in the photo, as it is located on the opposite side of the contact group.

6.... and remove the contact group from the ignition switch.

7. Establish contact group and all earlier removed details upside-down.
