To improve the appearance of the engine compartment and reduce the noise level, a decorative plastic casing is installed on the engine. For most engine repairs and maintenance, this cover must be removed.
The decorative casing of the engine is fixed on three ball racks located vertically.
1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.
2. Grab the trim cover by the edges and pull it up against the force of the tabs.
3. Carefully remove the decorative engine cover.
WARNING: Contact of engine trim with hood panel may result in engine damage (scratches) casing.
WARNING: When the outside temperature is below 0°C, remove the engine cover with extreme care. Failure to do so may result in damage to the trim cover.
4. Inspect the latches on the back of the casing.
5. Remove the replacement retainer rubber by prying it out with a flat blade screwdriver if there are signs of rubber aging and tearing.
6. If necessary remove spherical racks, having unscrewed them from hairpins of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
7. Establish a decorative casing of the engine in an order, the return to removal.
