Reducing the pressure in the engine power system

The fuel in the power system is under high pressure, so it is forbidden to loosen the fuel line connections while the engine is running or immediately after it has stopped. To carry out work on the repair of the power supply system on a just stopped engine, first reduce the pressure in the power supply system.

1. Turn off the ignition, open the hood and place it on the stop.

2. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.



3. Turn off the fuel pump by removing the F22 fuse in the central mounting block located under the instrument panel.

4. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery, start the engine and let it run until the fuel rail runs out of fuel. After that, the engine will shut down.

5. Turn off the ignition. Now you can disconnect the fuel lines.
