Removal and installation of the external handle of a back door

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the door trim.

Pull off the protective film in the area of the outer door handle.



Remove plugs -1- and unscrew both screws -2-.



Remove the spring stopper -1- and pull out the drive rod.

Remove the door handle to the outside.

Installation

Install the door handle, correct its location and secure with screws.

Attach the drive rod and fix it with a spring stopper.

Stick on the protective film.

Install the door trim.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-). Set the time on the clock. Set the radio's anti-theft code.
