Removal and installation of the trunk lid lock

Attention! The illustrations show the Fastback model.

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the rear lining of the trunk, to do this, pull off the seal -1-, remove the two clamps and unscrew the two screws -2-. On the Turnier model, remove the four screws.



Unlock and remove the door contact sensor.



Loosen the screws and pull out the lock.


Disconnect the two cables from the lock.

Disconnect the central locking linkage. To do this, remove the stopper and pull out the rod.

Remove the lock.

Installation

Install the lock, insert the central locking drive rod and fix it with a stopper.

Attach two cables.

Install the lock and secure it with a torque of 10 Nm.

Install and fix the door contact sensor.

Install the rear trunk trim, secure with screws and two clamps.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-).

Set the time on the clock.

Set the radio's anti-theft code.
