Removal and installation of the lock of a forward door

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the door handle/lock assembly.



Remove the spring stopper -1- and disconnect the drive rod.

Turn the rod -2- by 90°and detach it from the plastic bushing.

Disconnect the lock sensor wiring harness.



Remove the lock from the mounting plate.



Remove the door contact sensor.




Remove the plastic protection of the tensioner back through the mounting support.



Pull up the power sheath of the cable -1- from the counterholder.

Turn the cable 90°and disconnect it from the lever -2-.



Remove the two screws securing the door lock motor and remove the motor.

Installation

Install and secure the door lock motor.

Attach the inner door handle cable.

Insert the plastic protection of the tensioner.

Insert and lock the door contact sensor.

Install and fix the door lock on the mounting plate. Connect the lock sensor harness.

Attach the drive rod to the door lock and lock it with a spring stopper.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-). Set the time on the clock. Set the radio's anti-theft code.
