Removal and installation of a cable of a drive of the lock of a cowl

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. You must carefully read the section ''Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Disconnect the left lower side trim in the passenger compartment and set it aside. To do this, remove the five Phillips screws and two clips.



Turn out two bolts of fastening of the handle of a drive of the lock of a cowl. Remove the hood cable from the holder. Rotate the lever 90°down and disconnect the cable from the drive lever.



Pull up the protective cable clip on the hood lock, having previously unscrewed the nut.

Disconnect the cable from the hood latch and remove the cable.

Installation

Attach the cable to the hood latch.

Install the cable guard and secure it with the nut.

Pull the cable into the passenger compartment and attach to the drive lever.

Fasten the hood latch handle, 10 Nm.

Pass the side trim through the handle and secure.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-).

Set the time on the clock.

Set the radio's anti-theft code.
