Measure the brake disc thickness. At the service station, a special bracket or micrometer is used for this, since a protrusion forms on the outer diameter of the disc when worn. The thickness of the brake disc can be measured with a normal caliper by placing coins or hard pads under the jaws of the gauge on both sides. In order to get the exact size, you need to subtract the thickness of the coins or linings from the measured value.
Attention! Take measurements in different places on the disk.
Attention! Measure the disc thickness at the most worn point -arrows-.
Brake disc dimensions see point 15.1.
If wear has reached the limit, replace the brake disc.
If there are more than 0.5 mm marks or beads on the surface of the disc, the disc must also be replaced.
Install the front wheels so that the marks made earlier coincide. Apply a light coat of grease to the centering surface on the wheel hub before installing the wheels. Screw on the wheel nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the nuts crosswise to 100 Nm.
