Pay attention to the following when handling brake fluid:
Brake fluid is poisonous. Never suck out brake fluid by mouth through a hose. Pour brake fluid only into a container that should not be inadvertently used while eating.
Brake fluid is corrosive, so do not allow it to come into contact with the paintwork, otherwise wipe off immediately and wash with plenty of water.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture from the surrounding air. Therefore, store brake fluid in a hermetically sealed container.
Brake fluid drained from the brake system must not be reused. When bleeding the brakes, also use new brake fluid.
Brake fluid specification: Super DOT 4 or FORD-ESD-M6C57-A.
Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with mineral oil. Already small traces of mineral oil make the brake fluid unusable or lead to failure of the brake system.
Change the brake fluid every 3 years, preferably after the cold season.
Do not pour the old brake fluid down the drain and do not mix it with engine oil, it is disposed of as special waste.
