Loosen the union nut and remove the tube.
Seal the connections with suitable plugs.
Install a new tube, if possible, in its original place.
When connecting the pipeline, moisten the conical surface with a few drops of brake fluid and tighten the nut with a torque of 12-15 Nm.
Install the new hose so that it does not twist or stretch, fasten with a torque of 12-15 Nm.
After installation, check on an unloaded wheel (the car is raised), whether the hose repeats all the movements of the wheel and whether it rubs against other parts.
Attention! Do not allow the brake hose to come into contact with oil or fuel, and do not paint or apply a coating used to protect the underbody.
Remove air from the hose.
With the vehicle on wheels, turn the wheels from one extreme position to the other and check that the hose follows all the movements of the wheel without any friction on other parts.
Attention, carry out security checks:
- Is the brake hose fastener tight?
- Is the brake hose secured in the holder?
- Is the bleeder bolt tight?
- Is the level of brake fluid in the expansion tank sufficient?
Check the tightness with the engine running. To do this, press the brake pedal with a force of 200-300 N (20-30 kg) and hold it for about 10 seconds. The pedal must not fall. Check the tightness of all connections.
Finally, take a few stops on a street with little traffic.
