Check the position of the steering wheel. To do this, take a test drive on a straight, level road. When driving in a straight line, the upper spoke of the steering wheel must be horizontal. Otherwise mark the position of the steering wheel.
Raise the vehicle.
Mark the position of the tie rod end. To do this, draw a line through both parts.
Loosen both locknuts -1- on the tie rod ends and also loosen the outer collars of the rubber cuffs.
Rotate both tie rods in the same direction. At a steering wheel deviation to the right, rotate drafts in the direction -A-. At a steering wheel deviation counter-clockwise - rotate steering drafts in the direction - B -. The figure shows the right tie rod.
Attention! Turn both tie rods in the same direction at the same angle, otherwise the wheel alignment will change.
Example: Steering wheel deflection = 3°clockwise, 1°steering wheel deflection = 30°tie rod turn. In this case both rods must be turned in direction -A- by 90° (1/4 turn).
Tighten the tie rod end locknut to 49 Nm.
Secure the rubber cuffs with new clamps.
Lower the car.
Carry out a test drive and recheck the position of the steering wheel.
