General information about wheels and tires

            0

Depending on the model, FORD MONDEO vehicles are equipped with wheels and tires of various dimensions. Along with the width of the wheel rim, wheel offset is also important. Wheel offset is the size from the middle of the wheel to the mating surface. On all wheel rims, protrusions are pressed into the surface of the rim, which, even when driving on a sharp turn, do not allow the tubeless tire to move away from the rim flange. If tires/wheels that are not marked in the vehicle documents are installed on the car, they must be entered there. This usually requires permission from FORD.

Attention! Technological progress does not stand still. It may be that older vehicles may have different tire pressures and other wheel/tire combinations. Therefore, it is recommended to find out at specialized stations the modern characteristics of tires for your car.

Attention! The rules prohibit the operation of tires if in any place the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm. despite the fact that in other places the tire has a tread depth of more than 1.6 mm. For safety reasons, it is recommended to replace summer tires if the tread depth is about 2 mm, and winter tires if the tread depth is about 4 mm.
