Removal and installation of a back lantern

Removal by Limousine

Detach the trunk net.

Remove the middle covering of the sheet metal of the back wall, see 17.28.



Remove facing of a back lantern. To do this, unscrew the two bolts -1- and remove the facing from the guides -2-.

Disconnect the multi-pin plug.

Unscrew four nuts of a back lantern and take out outside.

Remove the old sealing compound from the groove in the rear shield.

Installation

Apply new sealing compound to the sealing groove.

Install tail light and secure with four nuts.

Put on the multi-pin connector.

Insert the fixing tabs of the rear light cover into the guides and screw with two bolts.

Mount the middle sheeting of the rear wall sheet, see 17.28.

Hang the luggage net.

Removal for Turnier

Remove facing of a back lantern and lateral facing. To do this, turn one or two spring clips by 90°and remove.



Disconnect the multi-pin connector -1-.


Unlock the bulb holder -2- by squeezing the retaining tabs together.

Unscrew four nuts -3- of a back lantern and remove outside.

Remove the old sealing compound from the groove on the rear plate.

Installation

Apply new sealant to the groove.

Install tail light and secure with four nuts.

Insert the lamp holder and fix.

Put on the multi-pin connector.

Fit the lantern trim and side trim and secure with one or two clips by turning 90°into place.
