Towing Rules
Turn the ignition on so that the steering wheel is not locked, the brake lights and horn work, and the windshield wipers can be operated.
Move the gear lever to the idle position, and for a car with an automatic transmission to the position "N".
Turn on the light signaling on the tractor and the towed vehicle.
Since the brake and steering boosters only function when the engine is running, operate the brake pedal and steering wheel with great force when the engine is stopped.
Tips for using a tow bar. When using a towline, there is a high risk of running into the towing vehicle. The tow rope must be flexible to save the vehicle being pulled and towed. Use a plastic cable or a cable with elastic intermediate links.
Attention! All-wheel drive vehicles must not be towed with the front or rear axle raised. All wheels must be on the ground or the vehicle must be on a platform.
