Textile upholstery: clean the upholstery with a vacuum cleaner or a brush that is not too soft. If heavily soiled, clean the textile upholstery with dry foam.
Treat stains from grease or oil with gasoline or stain remover. Do not pour the cleaner directly onto the stain. Treat the stain with circular rubbing from outside to inside. Other contaminants are usually removed with warm soapy water.
Leather upholstery: In strong sunlight and long periods of inactivity, cover the seats to prevent fading.
Lightly dampen a knitted or woolen cloth with water and clean the surface of the leather seat so that they do not become soaked with water. Then rub the dried skin with a clean and soft handkerchief.
Heavily soiled leather upholstery surfaces can be cleaned with a mild detergent without bleach (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). Blot grease and oil stains gently, without rubbing, with a swab dipped in cleaning gasoline.
Purified (lacquered) leather upholstery should be treated with carnelian oil as an anti-static agent. Shake well before use and apply a thin layer with a soft cloth. After drying, rub with a clean and soft handkerchief. This treatment is recommended every six months.
