Checking and replacing the V-belt and toothed belt

V-belt check

There is no need for a special tool.

Required spare parts: V-belt. Its length depends on the type of engine. Keep this in mind when buying a belt. Too little V-belt tension leads to increased wear or belt failure. If the belt tension is too high, damage to the bearings on the respective units can occur.

V-belt replacement is necessary in case of: excessive wear, fringing at the edges, traces of oil, porosity, fractures in the cross section.

Check V-belt tension, replace and tighten, see paragraph 1.19.

Attention! With a new V-belt, after 10 minutes of rotation, check the tension again.

Toothed belt replacement

If this operation is carried out incorrectly, it can cause significant damage to the engine. Therefore, strictly follow the instructions given in chapter "Engine".
