Antifreeze poured into the radiator

The manufacturer fills the engine cooling system with a mixture of water and antifreeze and anti-corrosion agent from Ford. Antifreeze and anti-corrosion agent prevent freezing of the coolant in the engine cooling system and, in addition, these additives increase the boiling point of the coolant. Therefore, the engine cooling system must be filled with antifreeze with an anti-corrosion additive all year round.

Attention! For the Ford Mondeo, only Motorcraft Super Plus 4 antifreeze or other ESDM-97B49-A antifreeze available from Ford can be used. The ratio of antifreeze and water in the cooling system should be 1:1. This mixture does not allow the cooling system to freeze at temperatures down to -35°C.
