Withdrawal
Remove the fan motor.
Raise the car on the goats. Unscrew and remove the lower facing of a radiator.
Drain the coolant through the drain screw at the bottom of the radiator, see point 3.3.
Disconnect the upper and lower coolant hoses from the radiator. First, release and slide the mounting collars.
Only on vehicles with automatic transmissions: unscrew the oil lines for the ATF cooler from the radiator and close the ends with plugs to prevent large losses of engine oil.
Attention! Collect the oil in a jar underneath. Clean the joints so that dirt cannot get into the oil.
Raise the car on the goats.
Detach the lower side of the radiator -arrow- and pull it out of the vehicle from below. In vehicles with air conditioning, you first need to remove the condenser from the front of the radiator and tie it with wire so that it does not interfere.
Attention! Under no circumstances should the coolant circuit of the air conditioner be opened.
Installation
Check the rubber bushings at the top and bottom of the heatsink for damage and replace if necessary.
Install the heatsink from below so that the locking tabs engage in the corresponding recesses.
If you have air conditioning, install a condenser in front of the radiator.
Tighten the radiator mountings at the bottom with a torque of 25 Nm.
Install a mudguard under the radiator.
Lower the car onto its wheels.
Connect the upper and lower coolant hoses, secure them with clamps.
Install the radiator drain screw and tighten slightly. Fill in the coolant see point 3.3.
If necessary, connect the hoses for the automatic transmission. Finally, check the oil level see point 10.6.
Install a fan see point 3.7.
Connect ground wire (-). Set the clock and set the radio's anti-theft code.
Warm up the engine, it should idle until the fan turns on. Check the cooling system for leaks.
Check the coolant level again and top up if necessary.
