Attention! Coolant is poisonous and must not be poured down the drain or mixed with household waste.
Coolant drain
Unscrew the screw cap of the expansion tank.
Attention! The cap should only be removed after the coolant has cooled down to at least body temperature, otherwise you may be burned by the hot coolant. Cover the lid with a cloth for safety.
Raise the vehicle. Unscrew and remove the lower facing of a radiator.
Place a clean container under the radiator.
Fully open the heating system valve. To do this, set the temperature controller to the red range.
Open the drain bolt under the radiator and drain the coolant. You can use a coin to unscrew the bolt.
Lightly tighten the radiator drain bolt.
Coolant filling
Pour coolant into the expansion tank up to the MAX mark.
Start the engine and warm it up for 10 minutes so that it reaches its operating temperature. Accelerate several times to get the RPM above 2500 rpm. During the engine warm-up process, observe the coolant level in the expansion tank, top up the coolant if necessary.
Close the expansion tank with a screw plug.
After the engine has cooled down, check the fluid level in the expansion tank. If necessary, add coolant up to the MAX mark.
Install and screw the radiator grille.
Check the cooling system for leaks, paying special attention to the hose connections, drain bolt and coolant pump.
